Who are ideal candidates for breast lifts?
Anyone who has lost breast volume or nipple positioning is a good candidate for a breast lift.
What causes breasts to sag?
Breasts generally sag with age over time, but pregnancy, breastfeeding and significant weight loss can also cause it to happen.
How does a breast lift work?
The procedure works by repositioning the nipple to the center of the breast while rebuilding and reshaping the remaining breast tissue.
Can I get breast implants put in during the same procedure?
Absolutely. In fact, many patients elect to do this because the sagging is due to the breast volume decrease that has happened because of pregnancy or weight loss.
Should I wait to have a breast lift until after I have children?
This is advised because sagging and breast tissue loss is likely to happen again after additional pregnancies.
What is a peri-aerolar mastopexy?
It is a breast lift technique designed for patients who require a small lift. The incision is made around the areola and allows a doughnut shaped section to be easily excised and lifted. The incision scars are hidden within the areola.
Will I be put under anesthesia?
Yes, you will be put under general anesthesia by our expert anesthesiologists. It is an outpatient procedure, however, so you will be able to go home within a few hours of surgery.
